Luol Deng Out For Tonight; Rose May Play vs. New Jersey

Chicago Bulls small forward Luol Deng is “likely out” for Monday’s contest against New Jersey with a left wrist injury, according to coach Tom Thibodeau. He was at the doctor Monday morning getting the results of his MRI.

“He’s at the doctor right now, so we’ll know better after his visit there,” Thibodeau said.

As for Derrick Rose, he said his toe is “decent”, and is a game-time decision for tonight.

“He did everything today,” coach Thibodeau said. “Each day he’s been feeling a lot better.

“All the swelling is out. Of course he’s got to warm up tonight to see if he’s good. He’s coming along well.”

Thibodeau also said Taj Gibson won’t play as he nurses an ankle injury.

Joakim Noah, who missed Saturday’s game with an ankle injury, is expected to play while John Lucas III is a game-time call with a groin injury.

“Joakim, I think will go,” Thibodeau said. “He’ll be game-time though, too. He’s got to warm up.”
